Mr. Fisher, 69, Hollentown, formerly of Howard, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his residence following a battle with cancer. Born March 30, 1947 in Bellefonte a son of the late Carl David Fisher and the late Norma (Gurdack) Fisher Thompson. Surviving are five children Brenda Lee (Mark) Davis of Julian, Denise Eileen (Vance) Barndt and Richard Allen (Michele) Fisher both of Tyrone, Deanna Marie (Shaun) Lose of Milesburg and David Earl (Mary Kay) Fisher, Jr. of Bellefonte, 16 grandchildren , 14 greatgrandchildren and three sisters Carol Rider and Karen Waite both of Warriors Mark and Cindy Burns of Julian. Also surviving is his lifelong friend and caregiver Donna L. Johnson and his beloved dog Bert. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Michelle Davis and a brother Ricky.
David retired from the former Cerro Metal Products as an overhead crane operator with over 30 years employment. He was a social member of the Port Matilda American Legion.
Friends will be received Monday, May 9, 2016, from 10 am until the noon funeral service at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Funeral services will be officiated by Chaplin Timothy Guyer.
