Mr. Mottern, 58, Altoona, died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born September 6, 1957 in Altoona a son of the late Marion T. and Dena R. (Bernazzoli) Mottern. On December 24, 1977, in Hollentown, he married Lynett S. Mayes who died September 25, 2008. Surviving are three children Michael D. Mottern, Mark A. Mottern and Amanda L. Mottern all of Altoona. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and two sisters Denise Mack of Coalport and Alonna A. Mottern of Hollentown.
He was a 1975 graduate of Glendale High School and had been employed at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care as an Assistant Maintenance Director.
Friends will be received 4-8 pm Wednesday at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday with Pastor Joe Hollen officiating.
