Mr. Kruis, 83, Glasgow, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the James E. VanZandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.. Known as Bud, he was born August 23, 1924 in Utahville, a son of the late Clyde F. and Myrtle C. (Everhart) Kruis. On June 4, 1948, in Glasgow, he married L. Joye Watson survives along with four children: Leslie G. (Nancy Caber) of Greenville, VA., Larry E. and Carla M., both of Glasgow and Barry W. of Belsano, 5 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren, and 2 sisters: Martha Singer of Coalport and Losetta Jackson of Coalport, RD. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Carl, Freddie and Donald and 2 sisters: Nancy Neyman and Myrtle McClellan.
He served in the Army as a Technician 5th grade during WWII and was a member of the Coalport VFW. He had been employed as a truck driver lastly for Peerless Transport Co., Curwensville.
Friends will be received Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Monday 10 am until the 11 am services at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow with Rev. David Hammerle officiating. Interment in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton. Graveside military honors by Coalport VFW.
