C. Lamoyne "Lee" Briggs

     Mr. Briggs, 74, a resident of Epworth manor, Tyrone and formerly of Bellwood, died Saturday September 19, 2009 at AHRS- Altoona Hospital Campus.  Born September 27, 1934 in Van Ormer a son of the late Lester C. and Marie (Jackson) Briggs.  He was married March 26, 1955, in Roaring Spring to Phyllis I. Couch who survives along with 3 children: Chester L. (Twila Clifford) and Gloria J. (Dennis) McFarland, both of Pinecroft and Scott A. of DuBois, 7 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren and a sister Beverly Colwell of Pinecroft.  He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Jessica Briggs.  
     He was a 1955 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and retired in 1991 from Zimmerman Trucking.  He was a member of the Hollentown Assembly of God.
     Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday with Pastor Joe Hollen officiating.  Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
