Mrs. McClellan, 86, Glasgow, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at UPMC-Altoona Hospital. She was born April 12, 1932, in Irvona, a daughter of the late Sheldon and Rose (Hockenberry) Brink. On June 30, 1949, in Glasgow, she married George R. “Peanuts” McClellan who died September 26, 1992. Surviving are five children Sondra I. (Bucky) O’Shell of Van Ormer, David G. (Gail) McClellan, Mark I. (Kelly) McClellan and Brian L. McClellan and fiancé Dawn, all of Glasgow and Robert B. (Brenda) McClellan of Coalport. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and two siblings Margaret Neff of Westover and Cecil Brink of McCartney. She was also preceded in death by a great-grandson Joshua Sahm, four brothers Glenn, Wilber, Raymond and Leroy and a sister Ann Mack.
Betty had worked in various area factories including Sylvania in Houtzdale. She was a member of the Glendale Assembly of God and it’s WM’s group.
Friends will be received Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and again Saturday from 10 am until the hour of funeral services of 11 am at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Pastor Ron Korzeniowski will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
