Betty C. (Colee) Scott

     Mrs. Scott, 58, Sinking Valley, formerly of Manchester, CT. died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.  Born February 10, 1957 in Lantana, FL. a daughter of the late Jack and Catherine Colee.  On April 16, 2004 she married Sherman Scott, Jr., formerly of Blandburg.  Sherm survives.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers Robert and David.

     Betty was a 1975 graduate of Manchester High School, Conn.  She graduated from Penn State University main campus with a two year associate degree in arts.  She was employed at Carpenter Co. of Bellwood as a purchasing agent in the maintenance department.  Betty was an avid fisherman with her husband and enjoyed working outdoors at home.  She was a member of the Relay for Life of Blair County and the Swiss Club of Altoona.  Betty helped at many local functions.

     Friends will be received 5-8 pm Sunday at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.  Funeral services will be private.  Pastor Kathy Colebank will officiate.  Burial will be in Cambria Mills Cemetery, Reade Twp.
