Mrs. Simmons, 92, Blandburg, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at her residence. She was born November 18, 1919 in McGee’s Mills, a daughter of the late T. Arthur and Eleanor E. (Wolfe) Bouch and on February 26, 1938, in Glasgow, married George H. Simmons who died March 10,1981. Surviving are 11 children: George E. of Lynch Station, VA., Fred E. and Vernon N. both of Fallentimber, Betty J. Mayall and Mary A. Hatch both of Altoona, William A. of Avella, Ruth E. Hartzell of W. Alexandria, Edith M. Wyland of Williamsburg, Ronald D. of Georgetown, and Charles A. and Robert L., both with whom she lived., 48 grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are 4 siblings: Ida Surgeon in NJ., Thomas of Green Spring, Blair of Blandburg and Ronald of Reynoldsville. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers Robert, Norris, William and Eugene and 4 sisters Dora Potter, Mary Harcleroad, Catherine Vaughn and Mae Gill.
She was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church, Blandburg.
Friends will be received on Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
