Bernice (Glass) Krise

     Mrs. Krise, 96, passed away at her home in Fiske, rural Fallentimber, Friday, January 19, 2024, surrounded by family   She was born October 1, 1927, in Fiske, a daughter of the late Dolphus and Grace M. (Kruis) Glass.  The last remaining member of her immediate family, deceased brothers are Melvin, Roy, Dale, Ronald and Allen and deceased sisters Grace Seiders, Ruth Connelly and Elsie Martin-Keith.  Also preceding her in death is her husband Robert T. Krise who she married February 14, 1948 in Coalport. Robert died August 31, 2007.

     Bernice is survived by four daughters Karen S. (Bruce) Cutter of Columbia, MO., Cheryl J. (David) Hollen of Glasgow, Robin C. (Ronald) Milchak of Carrolltown and Brenda K. (Ronald) Passanita of Altoona; 12 grandchildren. 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.

     She was a 1946 graduate of Reade Twp. High School and was a member of the Fiske Community Bible Church and the former Mt. Pleasant Grange.  She enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening and most of all, spending time with loved ones.  She is deeply missed as a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her energy, sharp wit and thoughtful nature continue to be an inspiration to all that knew her.  She also made exceptional pies.

     A viewing for friends and family will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 4-6 pm and again Wednesday from 10 am until the hour of services at 11 am all at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.  Pastor Dean Dietrick will officiate and burial will be in Beaver Valley Cemetery, Flinton.
