Barbara M. (Foster) Ashcroft

Mrs. Ashcroft, 99, a resident of Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, and formerly of Duncansville, died Monday, November 11, 2019 at the home.  She was born August 2, 1920 in Altoona, a daughter of the late John A. and Wilhelmina (Schmidhammer) Foster.  On September 20, 1940, in Altoona, she married George W. Ashcroft who died February 18, 1995.  Surviving are two sons Ronald G. Ashcroft of Glasgow and Richard C. Ashcroft of Williamsburg, VA. and two grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers Bernard, John and James and two sisters Clementine and Alberta.

     Barbara was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville and had been a Pink Lady at the former Mercy Hospital, Altoona

     There will be no visitation or services.  Burial will be in Alto-Reste Cemetery, Altoona.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
