Mrs. McMasters, 89, a resident of Embassy at Hillsdale Park Rehab Center, Hillsdale, and formerly of Coalport went home to the angels just days after her 89th birthday, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Embassy. She was born January 25, 1937 in Fallentimber, into a very large and loving family, a daughter of the late Elmer. and Vidolia (Beers) Keith. She married Scott McMasters, Jr. on September 21, 1959 in Winchester, VA. Scott died April 16, 2016. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother Dale, five brothers Boyd, Melvin, Russell, Jack and Robert and six sisters June Lovell, Marjorie Britten, Winifred Dick, Maxine Helsel, Ilene Bott and Laverne Weld.
In 1964 she and her husband welcomed a baby boy Scotty and became a loving and devoted mother. In 1989 her grandson Wesley Scott was born and she continued her tradition of making every day special to him and Scott. She loved making the family ice cream on Sundays and playing Yahtzee and other games with her family.
Surviving is her son Scott McMasters, III, who works in Coalport, his wife Rosemary Eckberg McMasters of St. Lawrence and their son Dr. Wesley Scott McMasters, a Professor at Carson-Newman University and his wife Caroline Rubash McMasters of Jefferson City TN.
Ann had many happy memories growing up with her family in Fallentimber. She delivered newspapers to neighbors and gathered fresh eggs daily at the family’s home. She learned to expertly cook, bake and make preserves from her mother. No one could match the perfectly soft and “melt in your mouth” potato buns she baked, and many have tried. She worked in local sewing factories for many years, beginning at the age of 16, having spent nearly 20 years in the local garment makers union.
She and her husband spent 10+ retired years wintering in Florida while making new life-long friends and enjoying her hobbies of walking, going to yardsales and shopping. She had attended the Coalport United Methodist Church and contributed to the Moshannon Valley Community Church, Ramey.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow. Pastor Kevin Howard will officiate, assisted by her grandson Dr. Wesley Scott McMasters. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, LaJose
