Anne Marie (Stephens) Garland

      Mrs. Garland, 80, Utahville, died Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.  Born September 18, 1942, in New Haven, CT., she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Anna T. (Kennedy) Stephens.  On March 18, 1988, in Southington, CT., she married Lawrence A. Garland who died July 11, 1999.  Surviving are four siblings Mary Ann (Harvey) Moran of Clinton, CT., James Stephens in Florida, William J. Stephens of New Haven, CT. and Edward Stephens in Maine and several nieces and nephews.  Anne was also preceded in death by brothers John, Robert, Thomas and Joseph.

     Anne was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, CT. and had been employed locally as a cashier in area grocery stores.  She was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, Coalport.

     There was no viewing or services.  The McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow is in charge of the arrangements.
