Anna Marie (Smolko) Jena

     Mrs. Jena, 76, Fallentimber, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Maybrook Hills Nursing Center, Altoona.  Born November 24, 1940 in Smoke Run, she was a daughter of the late John and Ann M. (Spilla) Smolko.  On May 24, 1958, in Houtzdale, she married John C. Jena who died December 9, 2016.  Surviving are two children Maryann Jena, at home and John C. (Corey Thigpen) Jena, Jr. of West Point, VA.  Also surviving are two grandchildren Barbara (Dave) Johns and John F. Jena, two great-granddaughters Lindsay and Lexy Johns and three brothers Martin of Fallentimber, Edward of Smithmill and Albert of Walton, KY.  She was also preceded in death by three brothers John, Joe and Steve and a sister Agnes Zendek.

     Anna enjoyed playing cards, planting flowers and bird watching.

     It was Anna’s wishes that there be no visitation or services.  Arrangements by McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
