Alverta J. "Tip" (Troxell) Maines

     Mrs. Maines, a resident of Moran‘s Nursing Home, Bellwood, and formerly of Blandburg, died Wednesday  June 2, 2004 at the home.  Known as Tip, she was born September 28, 1911, in Blandburg, the daughter of the late George T. and Sarah J. (Fortney) Troxell.  On June 22, 1929, in Cumberland, MD. she married Lloyd W. Maines who died March 13, 1985.  Surviving is a son Wallace L. and his wife Eleanor (Fishel), 3 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.  A brother, Archie, also preceded her in death.  
She was a graduate of Reade Twp. High School Class of 1929 and was a member of the Blandburg United Methodist Church.  
Friends will be received Friday 6-8 pm at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. David Heckman officiating.  Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
