Mr. Richards, 85, a resident of Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona and formerly of Glasgow, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the center. He was born January 2, 1940, in Glasgow, a son of the late Vere and Vyrl M. (McClellan) Richards. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald Richards, a niece Ronnie Walters and a nephew Terry Richards. Surviving are nephews Douglas Richards and Donald Richards and nieces Lori McClellan and Chris Richards.
Known as Pep, he had been employed at Prince Gallitzin State Park as an equipment operator. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a Private First Class and attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Glasgow. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
Friends and family are invited to his viewing on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow.
