Mr. Glasgow, 85, of Glasgow, died Monday, February 18, 2019 at UPMC-Altoona.
He was born April 11, 1933 in Fallentimber, a son of the late Edward and Tressie M. (Matthew) Glasgow. On November 23, 1951 in Cumberland, MD. he married Marlyn B. Campbell who survives along with four children Shelia (Barry) McClellan of Blandburg, Cindy A. Hullihen of Fallentimber, William C. Glasgow of Flinton and Robert E. (Lisa) Glasgow of Mountaindale. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren Amie Jo, Chad and Autumn McClellan, Charlie and Wendel Hullihen, Ashley McNaughton, Brittany Hamilton and Lindsay, Cody, Robert and Brandyn Glasgow and five great-grandchildren Viggo, Addie, Zoie, Liam and Kenny, many nieces and nephews and a very special brother-in-law, Orrie Campbell, of Marion, SC.. He was also preceded in death by a brother George Glasgow, a sister Roby Reynolds and a son-in-law Wendel Hullihen.
Charlie was a 1951 graduate of Reade Twp. High School, supported and was affiliated with the Hollentown Assembly of God. He had owned and operated Glasgow Trucking/Trailer Sales and had played steel guitar for the county band The Holidays. For many years he enjoyed hunting elk in Montana. As much as Charlie loved life, it would have meant nothing to him without his family who will miss him dearly.
Friends will be received at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow on Thursday February 21, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Friday from 1:00 pm till the 2:00 pm funeral services with Pastor Joe Hollen. officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
